I wuv you mommy

Can I just say how wonderful being a mom is? I never in a million years could have imagined my life as wonderful as it is with my sweet girl. Seriously my mom would always say "You'll understand when you are a mom." I did not know how true those words were! Addy is two and can be a serious challenge at times but she is such a sweet person! Recently she started randomly telling me "I wuv you mommy" and it melts me. Words can't describe how wonderful it is to hear those words out of her mouth.
I need to scan and post our sonogram pictures of our girl (who by the way may never have a name because Luke and I CANNOT agree). I am curious to know if she will look like Addy!! She seems to be more active at night than Addy ever was and she gets the hiccups quite a bit. I will be sure to post those pictures when I get them.
With all of this I have been freaking out about this new baby! I am sooo excited to have another daughter but at the same time I have been worried about how I could love another baby so much. Am I crazy? Will I be able to balance my time between these two sweet girls? AHHHHH! It's scaring me. It will all be fine, right?

Sickness all around....

So I had every intention on adding new posts this week, but our house has been filled with sickness. Sore throats, runny noses and a cough that just won't leave! Finally I think we are all starting to feel better so we can be thankful for that!

On a much brighter note we had a nice night as a family tonight just hanging out. Addy and I started out the afternoon at the park while Luke went fishing. We ate dinner then went driving. Yea we sound like 80, but we like driving out in the country looking for "critters" as Luke calls them. Our goal is to eventually live in the country but that probably won't happen for sometime. We came home and let Addy try out making smores in the fire pit. It was a mess but lots of fun. I will post pictures of that later.
Well there is a 2 year old yelling for mommy to come give her night night kisses so I am done for now.......

Here we go.......

Okay, so a long time ago I said I wanted to start a blog so I am going to give it a shot! A little about me and my family. I am married to a wonderful man, Luke. We married in November of 2006 and had our first baby, Adalynn Grace in April of 2008. She has rocked our world in the most wonderful way! She just turned two and is a bundle of energy but we wouldn't want it any other way.

We are going to have another little girl at the end of August/early September. We couldn't be more excited to add to our family and I am pretty sure Addy is going to be excited to help take care of her.

I work full time as a nurse at Youthville here in Newton and am currently working on my Bachelor's degree from Tabor. I am supposed to graduate in September so this is going to be a VERY busy summer for all of us :)

Luke works full time as a Youthcare Worker at Youthville as well. I admire him everyday as I could NEVER do what he does and do as amazing as he does. He is dedicated to the kids he works with and truly cares about them. Although we work in the same place our roles are very different. He is working with the kids all day long and I have the "luxury" of being able to leave and go back to my office.

While we are at work Addy goes to an in home daycare here in Newton. I always thought being a "working" mom would be so easy as I love being a nurse, but when Addy was born I learned how wrong I was. I miss her all day but am so thankful to have her in a place that she loves and know they love her just as much.
Well I think this is enough for now.......hopefully I stick to it!
